Payal Rohatgi SLAMS Rupali Ganguly for her defamation case against Esha Verma; says, “It’s called karma when you…”

Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly has been in the news due to her personal life. She has grabbed the headlines as her stepdaughter Esha Verma has made allegations against her for ruining her life by having an extramarital affair with her father, Ashwin K Verma. She also accused her of being physically and mentally abusive. In response to it, Rupali has taken up legal action and filed a Rs 50 crore defamation case against Esha for spoiling her image publicly.

Amid all these accusations, actress Payal Rohatgi took to Instagram and slammed Rupali Ganguly. She re-shared a report about Anupamaa star Rupali’s defamation case and penned a note. She termed it as karma for the things she had done to an already-married man, Ashwin’s previous wife, by getting married to him.

On her Instagram story, Payal wrote, “Whatever your truth, Rupali, but you did marry a guy who was married when you met him. It’s called karma when you do what you do to the earlier wife. The daughter of the earlier wife will have her narrative. Rest figure it out in court with your proof. But why did you ask for so much money as defamation? Are you broke? Do you all even understand what 50 crores working in serials?”

Earlier in an interview with NDTV, Rupali Ganguly’s lawyer, Sana Raees Khan, revealed why the Anupamaa star has charged Esha Verma a huge amount. Sana said that Esha tried to malign Rupali Ganguly’s image, which impacted the actress’ professional image. She added that Esha removed all of the posts about Rupali and her family from her Twitter account after the complaint was filed.

Rupali is known for her television show Anupamaa. She is one of the highest-paid television actresses and reportedly earns Rs. 3 lakh per episode for her role in the show.
